Jessica grew up in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, began playing softball as a young girl and developed a lasting love of sports. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations from the University of South Florida. After graduating, Jessica worked as a financial representative for high-net worth clients at T. Rowe Price. While at T. Rowe Price, she was offered a position to manage a large multi-sport Nike camp in Boston, MA. In Jessica’s three years as the office manager she consistently saw over 25% camper growth annually and expanded from one to three locations. In 2014 Jessica stepped back and reduced her role with the Nike camp to include hiring, training and consulting while also working full time as a marketing coordinator for Clear Channel Outdoor. Jessica currently resides in Safety Harbor, FL with her husband, Peter, and two children, Johnna and Reese. When she is not busy working or playing co-ed softball and kickball, Jessica manages her daughter’s softball team, is a board member of the Safety Harbor Little League and Junior Achievement’s Circle of Enterprising Women and volunteers for various pediatric cancer organizations around Tampa Bay.


Originally from Central New York, Shannon began pursuing her career at Elmira College where, as an undergrad, she was a student athletic trainer with various athletic teams and an intern at St. Mark’s School in Massachusetts. While at Elmira she created her own major geared towards graduate school requirements and graduated with her BA in Pre-Physical Therapy in 2008. Following graduation, Shannon went on to pursue her Masters in Athletic Training at Seton Hall University where she completed semester long clinical rotations at The Lawrenceville School, at Lenape Valley Regional High School, and with The Somerset Patriots Minor League baseball team. She also presented a two-year-long group research project at the National Athletic Trainers Association annual meeting in 2010. After graduation in 2010, Shannon moved to Massachusetts to take a position as the Athletic Trainer at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School and as a personal trainer at The Body Workshop in Dedham, MA. Shannon is Cate School’s athletic trainer during the academic year, and she is excited to join CSS as well. When she’s not in the athletic training room, you can find her hitting the field hockey ball, working out, or at the beach!


Erik Hansen is the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Cate School where he oversees the strength and conditioning programs for all 13 CIF sports. In 2014 Hansen had the privilege of renovating the Harcourt Fitness Center to accommodate team practices. The first team to participate in the program was the girls’ volleyball, the second was football. Girl’s volleyball won a CIF title that year and, for the first time in Cate’s history, the football team did not lose any practice time in the pre-season due to injury and went on to be ranked first in the state. Prior to being the head strength and conditioning coach at Cate School, Hansen was the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Buenaventura Swim Club, assisting many swimmers to the division one level, the strength and conditioning coach for the Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team at Santa Barbara High School and a volunteer assistant for UCSB’s strength and conditioning program from 2006-2008 where he worked with men and women’s soccer, men and women’s volleyball, softball, men’s baseball, men’s and women’s swimming and track and field. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and has his Master’s in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University.


Taylor Paige Lilley is an American professional basketball player in the WNBA. After attending Hart High School (in Newhall, CA), she became a 4-year letterman for the University of Oregon Ducks. She garnered Pac-10 All-Freshman accolades for the 2006-07 season, and went on to Pac-10 All-Conference honors the following 3 years. Under new coach Paul Westhead, she had a break-out senior season (2009–2010) in which she led the team in scoring (a career best 17.5 points/game), finishing her career with 1,338 points (10th all-time in Oregon Duck history). She holds the Oregon single season record for three point shoot percentage (50.6%), and her 254 career three-pointers is the best in Oregon history and 4th best in Pac-10 history.

A free agent signing of the Phoenix Mercury, she made the team roster for 2010 season over the two draft picks of the year. She appeared in 21 games as a rookie. Per the Santa Clarita Signal, Lilley was recruited and signed by Mercury General Manager, Ann Meyers Drysdale. However, she would be cut during the pre-season of the 2011 season. Currently, she is the assistant women’s basketball coach at The Master’s College in Newhall, California, a small NAIA powerhouse.


Currently a forward player for the Kirchheim Knights in Germany, Jordan is a graduate of Fresno Pacific University. Standing a 6’8”, Jordan is excited to join Cate Sports Academy!


Max is currently the Head Water Polo Coach at Cate School and Santa Barbara Premier Water Polo Club. He has also coached the UC Berkeley Club Team, where the team took third place in the Collegiate Water Polo Association Nationals. During that time, he was named 2014 CWPA Nationals Coach of the Year.

Born in Portland, OR, Max began his water polo career in southern California. During his high school years, he was 2x Pacific Coast League MVP, 2x high school All-American and All-CIF, 2x Daily Pilot Dream Team Player of the Year, 2009 Slovakian International Tournament Offensive MVP, and member of the Carlsbad 2007 CIF SS Championship Team. In 2010, his SoCal club team took home the gold medal in Junior Olympics. Max moved on to play water polo at UC Berkeley, as a left handed attacker. As a freshman, he scored 15 goals in 24 matches with 14 assists, 13 steals, six field blocks and an ejection earned.


Matthew Morphy began his collegiate volleyball career at Pepperdine University in 1985 and helped the Men’s Volleyball team win back to back NCAA Championships in 1985 & 1986. While in college he was a camp counselor for Marv Dunphy Volleyball Camp where he grew his love for coaching others.

Since college Matthew has been a member of various Club Volleyball Teams and AAA Beach Volleyball. He was 5B Volleyball Club Coach/President from 1993 – 1998. Cate School Boys Volleyball Coach from 2001-2007. Most recently Coach Morphy added Gold Medalist to his resume as a Two-Time USA Volleyball Adult Nationals Gold Medalist (45+ in 2014 & 2015) and USA Mens Masters Gold Medalist in 2015 Global Cup in Greece (45+ World Championship). This Spring Coach Morphy will be defending the 45+ National Championship in Orlando.
