Outdoor Adventure is an unforgettable weeklong experience that develops leadership skills and build confidence. Campers will enjoy all the natural beauty Santa Barbara County has to offer while challenging themselves with activities such as stand up paddle boarding (SUP), ocean kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, surfing and our ropes course.
A week long residential program that runs Monday – Friday, campers currently in grades 6th – 10th grade will have a blast!

Get ready to hit the streets and explore some pretty cool local towns! Campers enrolled in urban hiking will learn about urban planning, route mapping, street art, geocaching, and the flaneur lifestyle. As we explore each new neighborhood, we will learn about what defines a city and find creative ways to build trust and kindness within the community. Depending on the day, we will walk anywhere from 4-8 miles in the following locations: Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, Ojai, Solvang. Lace up!

Program Details:
Cate’s outdoor instructors will take students into the heart of the beautiful Los Padres National Park, providing the opportunity to enjoy overnight backpacking from start to finish. Prior to departure, campers learn what it takes to prepare for a safe and fun experience by spending time at Cate planning for their trip: gear planning and packing, food provisioning, route mapping and safety tips. When everyone sets off on the trail for a three day excursion, campers will have confidence knowing they prepared for an incredible experience in the back country.
Current 6th and 7th graders. Must be able to hike 10-15 miles over three days with a 20-30 pound pack.
