On a day that resembled a New England spring track meet, the small contingent of Cate runners fared very well before the timing system had weather issues, and the Rams headed back up the hill for the afternoon.

Emerson Evans ’26 continues to show her athleticism in the long jump, 2nd place, the triple jump, 2nd place, and the 100m dash.
Francesca Sutch ’25 ran a season-best in the 400m, finishing second.

Miles Thompson ’27 placed 4th in the triple jump.
Ethan Rehnborg ’25 had a big PR in the 400m, running 54.81 despite challenging conditions.
The lone winner on the day was senior Everest Schipper ’24, whose tremendous surge in the last 50m secured his victory. Everest was awarded the Nick Carter Trophy, given each year to the winner of the boys varsity 1600m. This is the second year in a row that the trophy went to a Cate runner; last year’s winner was Seb Sutch ’24.

A big shoutout to the students and faculty who braved the weather to cheer on the teams!
