Cate (11-7) closes out their season with a 73-44 loss in Santa Ana to Calvary Chapel in the first round of CIF DIV 3A playoffs.

I credit these fantastic young men at Cate for playing their toughest and hardest every game. All season we were undersized but our heart and effort was always there.

Huge shoutout to our amazing seniors who are fantastic citizens and coachable. Thank you to our seniors Tyler Martinez, Shawn Cordeiro, Julian Lee, and Kristian Scurtis for their dedication to their teammates and Cate School.

Calvary Chapel had the athletes and size to keep us on our toes all game and also shot a tremendous percentage from field. We were on the verge of making numerous runs but their second quarter was too much to overcome.

The first half we missed 9 free throws and 10 layups and we knew we were taking great shots. We were in foul trouble much of the first half which took us out of rhythm.

Thank you all for your incredible love and support all season. Enjoy a few photos of our seniors from previous games.
