After 31 days since our last game, I could not be more pleased with how we competed against league opponents and one of the best teams in DIV 3AA St Bonaventure.

We were severely undersized at all positions, but our guards boarded and played big.

St Bonaventure used a speedy start to jump out to an early and quick 18-1 lead. After the cobwebs and shock wore off, we battled. The box score did not indicate how close the last few quarters felt. Our shot selection was stellar, but we couldn’t get multiple shots in a row to drop. We were on the verge numerous times in the 3rd quarter of making a run that was halted by a good shot that didn’t fall or a fast break layup that rimmed out.

Marcus Scudder ’25 was stellar and led the Rams with 23, while Bonnie was led by Dylan Benner (committed to Army), who finished with 26 points. Marcus pushed the pace and finished well around the rim.

Much credit to Tyler Martinez ’24 and Josh Butler ’25 for controlling the boards and making them earn points.

Thank you to the Cate Students staff and faculty for their presence and being loud. It was much appreciated!
