Rams Shine in Playoff Victory Against Paraclete

Cate Girls Volleyball Advance to CIF Quarterfinals

Cate Girls Varsity Volleyball played against Paraclete on Saturday, October 21st.

The Rams got off to a good start in the first game, but Paraclete was able to bounce back and make it close until the Rams finished on top 25-21. The Rams broke away early in the second game and never looked back, winning 25-11. In the third game, the Rams scored early and kept the lead, closing the match 25-16.

“Our team showed up big time today. We were able to execute the game plan from the service line and also played some complimentary volleyball. It’s great to see our team improve game after game, especially in a playoff environment. Shoutout to Josie Frazer ’24 who made a huge impact at the net, with 5 blocks in key moments of the game. Kudos to Melanie Davidson ’24, for posting yet another Double-Double (14 kills and 12 assists). She stepped up offensively and also created several runs at the service line. Evangeline Little ’26 led the team with 5 aces, which helped us get ahead and close out the games.
Oyin Opawumi ’26 also had an excellent match; she was incredibly efficient with 20 kills and hit a whopping .633. This may have been our best match this year; seeing us peaking at the right time is great. Now we must prepare for our next match and find ways to keep improving.” said coach Jordon Dyer.
