On Tuesday, the Cate Rams battled the Malibu Sharks and came away with an exciting three-set sweep, winning 26-24, 25-14, and 25-23.
This was a particularly rewarding victory for the Rams, who fought back from deficits in both the first and third sets to secure come-from-behind wins. The team showed tremendous grit in high-pressure moments, trusting one another and staying composed when it mattered most.
**Offensively, the Rams delivered one of their strongest team performances of the season. Evan Walters led the attack with 8 kills, while sophomore middle hitter Kaia Coker recorded a career-high 4 kills with zero errors, earning the team’s highest hitting percentage of the match. The rest of the Rams’ hitters also contributed, each adding 2–3 kills to the team’s offensive efforts. This balanced attack was an encouraging step forward for a team that has worked hard to improve its offensive consistency throughout the season.
From the service line, Vivi Delaney and Cassidy Rose continued to make an impact, each recording 2 aces and putting together the longest serving runs of the night.
Defensively, the Rams remained steady and determined. Tori Kim led the team with 12 digs, followed closely by Josie Song with 10, helping keep the Sharks’ offense in check.
This victory marked the Rams’ first three-set sweep of the season! It was a well-earned win that reflected the team’s continued growth, resilience, and commitment to improving together. We couldn’t be prouder of the progress these athletes have made!
Tonight, the Rams return to their home court to face Bishop Diego in their final home match of the season! We will also be celebrating our seniors and recognizing their contributions to the program. Come out and support the Cate Rams as we honor our seniors and look to finish our home season on a high note!
