Boys Varsity Water Polo Cate vs Foothill Tech
Yesterday, October 14th, our Cate boys water polo team hosted Foothill Tech for our second-to-last league game. The win yesterday secured a league title for our Water Polo team for the first time in school history. Yesterday’s result was a culmination of commitment, effort, and love from a group of kids who have invested so much of themselves into the growth of our program. I couldn’t be more proud of them as their coach.
Yesterday’s game was full of ups and downs, but our guys took care of business when it mattered most and picked up another big league win. We had 18 different Rams hit the water yesterday and contributed positively to the match’s outcome. Fletcher Prince led the charge with two goals, three assists, and a steal. The sophomore standout has provided steady play in all three phases of the game this season, and we will continue to lean on him going forward. Andrew Sheshunoff had another great game in the cage, holding yet another team to under double-digit goals. Something he has done all but twice this season.
Looking ahead, we have our last league match of the season this Thursday at home against Villanova Prep. Go Rams!
