The Cate Rams traveled to Santa Maria to face Valley Christian Academy for a non-league contest. The Rams hit the ground running jumping out to a quick 12-0 lead.  Dual threat QB Sam Lambiotte ripped off a 60 yard TD run on the first play from scrimmage and followed that up with a 55 yard TD run on his second carry just three minutes later. Lambiotte would add two more touchdown runs in the second quarter and punctuated his stellar first half with a defensive pick six to help the Rams to a 46-14 halftime lead. Junior cornerback Will Murray led the defense with a fumble recovery and interception of his own. Juniors Running Backs Henry Schneider and Henry Helson both found the endzone for the first time in their Cate careers nothing rushing touchdowns. Senior Co-Captain Marcello Emal-Langrand anchored  the defense with 8 total tackles on the day while sophomore Marcus Wong recorded 4 tackles and a sack en route to the 60-28 win.

Sam Lambiotte has been outstanding at the helm of the offense and has helped the team average 50.points per game through the first two contests.

The Rams move to 2-0 on the young season heading into a bye next week before their home opener on Saturday Sept 19th, 3pm against Tri-Valley League foe Pasadena Poly.
