Yesterday, our Cate boys varsity water polo team traveled to Ventura HS for our second road test of the year. After a back and fourth defensive oriented battle, we were able to pull away in the second half.

Coach’s Take

This was an awesome game for us to be a part of. Being challenged by a well-coached, strong top-to-bottom team is just what our group needed. I was proud of how we responded when the momentum flipped or things weren’t going our way. Andrew Sheshunoff was incredible, tallying his season high in saves, some down the stretch in critical moments. While we still have opportunities for growth, we are in a good spot heading into the start of our league schedule next week.
