This Week in Athletics

December 19, 2025

Cate athletics wrapped up the Fall seasons with football and cross country ended their seasons over the Fall Break. Cross Country ran incredibly well in the CIF-SS Finals at Mt. SAC, but ultimately fell short of making states in Fresno. Sophie ’27  (9th overall; 18:19) and Ati ’27 (17th overall; 15:23) both were one spot away from qualifying as individuals for states.

Football hosted the CIF-SS D2 Finals at Meldman Field. In the end, the were too strong for the Rams. Both teams should be extremely proud of their playoff runs and congratulations to the football team on their 2nd place finish. Here is the full photo album of the finals.

The winter sports teams have played a number of games in the 3 week window between the fall and winter break.
