That was the kind of game where we are pleased to have survived and be injury free.  The goals against were big, driven shots from distance and should not negate Mimi’s incredible 14 saves, including coming out to stop a breakaway with her feat.  Thank goodness for our goalkeeper today!  We had our moments of beauty too – especially that stunning string of passing at the 50th minute mark down the right hand side.  And our defense was an absolute wall today against a really physical team.  Coco Kliman and Lauren Hubbs played well together in the middle, and Sierra Montoya and Tania Molina both had excellent games out wide.  All four of them made wonderful decisions both mentally and physically.  Nika Iverson was tireless at right midfield today and her performance stood out, along with Fiona Pan and Precious Adjei in the middle.  Special recognition goes to Maya Pinto and Zoe Colley on their birthdays who played their first full length varsity game – we are so grateful.
