BVWP Takes Down Villanova

Boys Varsity Water Polo Cate at Villanova

Yesterday, October 7th, our Cate boys water polo team traveled to Ojai for a league match with Villanova Prep. Our group captured a 5-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. A sound defense turning into offense was the name of the game for us, something we have been doing really well over the past few weeks. We are playing great water polo right now, and I am excited to see what noise we can make in the back half of the season.

Sophomore standout Fletcher Prince led the way for us, tallying six goals, three assists, and three takeaways. He played an all-around great game, finding ways to score from the inside and outside while also getting his teammates involved. With a starter out due to injury, Emil Arconian stepped up and came through big time for us. He found the back of the net twice while playing super smart polo on both ends of the pool.

Looking ahead, we travel to Malibu High School tomorrow to begin the second round of league play. Go Rams!
