Students Attend International Round Square Conference in Dubai

This September, a delegation of Cate students traveled to Dubai for the 2025 Round Square International Conference. Hosted across several schools in the UAE, the week-long experience invited students to explore the Round Square IDEALS of Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership, and Service of through immersive learning, cultural exchange, and collaborative dialogue.

While discussing climate change, creating eco-art, and hiking the dramatic trails of Khorfakkan, Cate students connected with delegates from around the world through keynote addresses, baraza group discussions, student-led performances, and shared meals. True to Cate’s values of curiosity, companionship, and purposeful inquiry, the delegation reflected on their experience with gratitude for the global connections made, and a renewed appreciation for the magic of the Mesa. As one student put it: “We’re reminded of how incredible our lives back at Cate truly are.”
