Throughout the year, our community gathers together a lot. Nearly everyday our whole community comes together at our upbeat assemblies, which is held three times a week, or at Servons talk on Thursday where the whole school meets in the Chapel to hear reflections from a senior. On Mondays, our community gathers to hear a more educational presentation from a guest speaker while throughout the year we have traditional community gatherings such as Sunset Ceremony. These moments together are tech-free and opportunities for whole community to connect and celebrate each other.
Every Thursday morning, the entire community gathers in the Katharine Thayer Cate Memorial Chapel to hear a presentation from a senior. These talk are an opportunity for seniors to sharing stories and reflections about their time on the Mesa to the community.
In preparation for their Servons Speeches, seniors work with an Servons Speaker Coordinator edit their speech as well as three sessions with our Servons Speaker Coach to improve their delivery.
At Sunset Ceremony, which occurs twice a year during the first week of school and the last week of school, the whole school gathers together to hear from community members about the history of the school and campus. It is a moment to hear reflections, sit in a moment of silence, and to celebrate our seniors as they prepare to depart the Mesa.

These speakers range from the likes of David Koepp, writer of Jurassic Park, Shane McAnally, two time Grammy winning song writer, Malala Yousafzai, educational activist, and Wildlife Ecologist, Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant.
