Girls Varsity Volleyball vs St. Bonaventure

September 28, 2022

Girls varsity volleyball lost their fifth league match vs St. Bonaventure on Tuesday, September 27th.

The Rams had a tough time getting things going against a strong St. Bonaventure team who served tough and had some strong offensive plays to help them win the first set 25-17. Cate started off slow in set 2 as well but we’re able to finish strong and win 25-21 thanks to a handful of second-effort hustle plays on defense. The third set was a back-and-forth battle where it slowed down to a 22-22 tie before St. Bonaventure powered through three points in a row at the service line. The fourth set showed St. Bonaventure taking an early lead and never looking back, winning 25-18.

“There were a lot of good moments in tonight’s game. Lots of defensive hustle plays, strong net play, and quality serving. It’s tough to come up short but I think the team played well considering our ever-changing lineup due to injuries and absences. Mel Davidson ’24 played yet another passionate game with her heart on her sleeve and helped us rally through some tough moments. Tomorrow is a new day and we have to refocus on prepping for Bishop Diego” said coach Jordon Dyer.

The Rams will next play at Bishop (9/29) at 6 pm.
