Cate Fund

Gifts made to the Cate Fund are unrestricted and constitute a flexible resource that allows Cate to meet its operational needs while supporting its strategic plan and mission. The Cate Fund has immediate impact, contributing approximately 10% of the School’s annual budget. All Cate Fund gifts, whether large or small, enhance the vitality of the School. We ask that the Cate Fund be the first gift you give to Cate, one we hope you can make every year.

During 2010-11, 45% of all alumni contributed $613,608 and 90% of current parents contributed $518,412 toward a Cate Fund total of $1,858,321.

Our goals for the 2011-12 Cate Fund are:
  • To raise $500,000 from our alumni and $500,000 from our current parents
  • To achieve 50% alumni participation
  • To raise a total of $1,700,000 from alumni, parents and friends for the Cate Fund
A donation to Cate is an investment in the quality of our academic programs and in the future of our next generation of leaders. I hope you will consider making a gift today.

Thank you for your support!

Ford Foundation to offset costs associated with the curriculum initiative provided the school raises $150,000 in new funds from our parents, alumni, and other friends. Any cash gifts that are new or an increase over last year's gift will be accepted.

March Magic – After last year's incredible win over Thacher School in the inaugural March Magic young alumni competition, young alumni are ready to kick off round 2 in March 2012. Graduates Of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.) will compete to with our friendly rival to see who boasts the most loyal young alumni. The goal is simple: Make a gift to your schools' annual fund and score a point for your team. Last year, 55% of our G.O.L.D. alumni supported Cate. What will it be this year?
