Cate’s Planned Giving Program is based on the notion that the joy of giving is an expression of your social capital. After you have planned for your future and that of your family, what is left is your social capital. What would you like to support? Your consideration of a planned gift gives you the opportunity to model your financial and social goals and interests with a tax-wise method to meet these objectives.

Most people think that estate planning and gift planning are activities for those with large estates. Estate and gift planning certainly does help the wealthy, however people with all sizes of estates may use estate and gift planning techniques to benefit themselves and a charity.

Cate School works with donors to establish and manage planned giving vehicles, including bequests, several pooled income funds, and charitable remainder trusts. The School helps donors prepare documents and will provide financial projections for various trust options for discussion with legal and financial counselors.
