Parents of current students are cordially invited to serve Cate in the following ways:
Invite other parents to join you in supporting the School by becoming a Parent Fund Volunteer. Volunteering is an excellent way to meet other parents, get involved with the School, and make a difference. The Parent Fund Committee gathers during Fall Parents Weekend, and celebrates its accomplishments at Spring Parents Weekend. Most of our volunteer work is completed in the Fall, offering a wonderful way to meet fellow parents and build connections early in the school year. Many of our volunteers return every year. For more information, please contact Kate Merritt at kate_merritt@cate.org.
The Alumni and Development and Admission Officers are always grateful for opportunities to gather Cate friends together in the comfort of a home, around the country and around the world. Contact Alumni Director Andrew MacDonnell at andrew_macdonnell@cate.org.
Connect with other parents, alumni, and friends of Cate by attending regional receptions and/or service opportunities in your area sponsored by the School. Look for announcements and invitations by mail, email, and at www.cate.org/alumni.
The Cate Parents Organization (CPO) was founded to help parents support the school and students in a variety of ways. The CPO supports a number of student events held throughout the school year, including the Winter Formal Dinner & Dance, the Walkathon, and various weekend activities such as bowling, ice skating, and movie nights. Find out more about joining the CPO in the parents-only MyCate section of our website.
