I remember writing essays for my private school applications, and I felt so lost. I wanted to find a place that was open-minded and understanding, yet had traditions and a loyalty to its school motto. I finally stumbled upon Cate, and I knew that it was the perfect match.

I visited the campus for the first time on revisit day, and it was wonderful. Not only was everyone incredibly friendly, but the campus was absolutely gorgeous (even if we are in a drought). Actually, I think the effects of the drought have only added to the beauty of the campus: the golden brown Kirby quad complemented the blue sky and the great mountains that lay behind the campus.

The classes were also captivating, and it was the first time that I was a part of a class that not only allowed, but encouraged everyone to contribute.

I chose to come to Cate after that visit, and I haven't regretted that decision. I have been able to take advantage of so many opportunities, meet many talented and wonderful people, and find myself and passions.
