When I first began applying to secondary schools, I couldn’t even imagine leaving my family in Los Angeles and moving up the coast to Santa Barbra. However, I immediately felt so welcomed and comfortable with the students and faculty here, even on my first visit. When one looks past the beautiful campus and the fact that students live away from home, an amazing sense of community is exposed, which is one of the many reasons Cate is so special to me.

I am currently a junior and play varsity volleyball, soccer, and lacrosse. When I’m not in the classroom, you can almost always find me visiting with friends around campus. The relationships you have at Cate are so special, and there are so many opportunities to get to know your peers and teachers. I wanted to become a tour guide to meet new people and families, and share my experiences I have on this wonderful Mesa with them.
