When I first visited Cate, I was a little bit hesitant because it seemed like a place that was out of my reach. However, when I was informed that I had been accepted, I immediately knew that this would become my new home. Cate is a place where everyone encourages you to foster your dreams, venture out, and learn. Many prospective students worry about the school food, however, we have a wide selection of healthy foods that taste phenomenal. Last year was my junior year, and it was the best year at Cate yet. Although it was academically demanding, I loved all of my classes, especially AP Biology with Ms. Powers. I am a part of El Batidor (school newspaper), Tour Guide program, Cate Review, and Math lab. I also on the water polo, swimming, and tennis teams. My favorite Cate weekend activity is just lounging around with my friends and watching movies. Frequently, there are dances and those always turn out to be the highlights of my week. The most important thing I learned at Cate is to be humble, honest, and compassionate towards others.
