Stephanie Flores

I feel very fortunate to be a Cate student. I chose Cate because of the warm welcome I received from everyone I met on my visit. Friendly gestures, subtle acts of kindness, and the lively atmosphere I witnessed, were simple things that meant a lot to me. Each year since I've been here, I've had the opportunity to meet many amazing people, and it's something that continues to occur. Square dancing, camping, "drive-in" movies, among other things, are fun activities that I had personally not experienced until I came to Cate. I love it here on the Mesa, where it's grown to feel like home away from home. Throughout my time here I have also learned things about myself I would have never expected. Now, as I begin my senior year, I think about all the ways in which I have grown as a person; I can certainly say that in the time I have spent here, I have gained so much (whether it be courage to express myself, or strong friendships that I know will last a lifetime.) Thank you Cate!
