Matching Gifts

Many companies will match gifts that their employees (and sometimes spouses of employees) made to secondary schools such as Cate.  Please send your company's matching gift form along with your gift to Cate School to the attention of Carolyn Frary. Stock Gifts & Wire Transfers

A gift to Cate of stock held more than one year entitles the donor to a charitable deduction for its full current market value, in most cases without paying the capital gains tax on the appreciation, which would be required if the securities were sold for personal gain.

When you elect to gift stock to Cate, please send an email or call Laura Jespersen at (805) 684-4127 ext. 215 or laura_jespersen@cate.org and be sure to indicate the donor name, the name of the stock, the number of shares, and the date you expect to make your gift.
