Girls Varsity Lacrosse vs Thacher

Cate’s girls varsity lacrosse team picked up a big rivalry win on Thursday, April 13, as the Rams squashed the visiting Thacher Toads, 15-5.

It was a full team effort for Cate, as several players contributed to the big win. The Rams were led by Brie Walker ’18, who filled up the stat sheet with 14 ground balls, 3 interceptions, 9 draws, 5 forced turn-overs, 4 goals and 3 assists. Maddie Erikson ’19 led the Rams with 8 goals on the day. Katherine Grossman ’17 dished out assists all day for Cate, finishing the afternoon with 5.

Morgan Prinz ’17 and Eva Herman ’17 both played lock down defense for Cate. Liza Borghesani ’20 was solid in net, tallying 3 saves. The Rams also saw big days from Summer Christensen ’17, Julia Farner ’18, Maisie Oswald ’18, Daphne McKeefry ’19, Brynkly Meyer ’18, Hailey Panzer ’18, Margaux Vitols ’18, and Phoebe Hurwitz ’19.

The Rams will take on the Chargers of Dos Pueblos High School on Tuesday, April 18 at Cate. That contest will start at 5pm.
