Cal Math League Results

April 21, 2017

The Cal Math League competition is a chance for Cate students to test their math skills against students from around the state. After a rousing chant led by math teacher Tim Smith in assembly, students hunch over their tests to try to earn points in the competition (and sometimes extra credit from willing math teachers).

This year Edward Lee ’17 is in the top 25 scorers in state and the School as a whole notched the 23rd spot. Not only has Edward proven his mettle in the statewide competition, he has also surpassed the four-year record for Cate originally held by William Choi ’05. The competition is voluntary and a host of students regularly scored more than 20 points this year: Nancy Wu, Mason Mackall, Katherine Grossman, Anhyo Jeong, Connor Pan, Bryce Huerta, Henry Dawson, Robert Zhu, Jason Wang, Ryan Borchardt, and Summer Christensen.
