Round Square

Cate students traveled to Bogota, Columbia last year to help restore an elementary a school and its grounds. Here Luke carries a bag of cement up several flights of stairs for the schools foundations.

In 2007, Cate joined Round Square (www.roundsquare.org), an international organization whose goal is to provide students at member schools with opportunities for community service, work projects, and cultural exchange. With over 80 member and regional member Round Square schools across the world, Cate students now have the opportunity to attend international conferences focused on service learning and to volunteer on a global level. They may also participate in student exchanges abroad and spend part of the academic year at host Round Square schools. Becoming a part of Round Square has created a new array of possibilities for Cate students and has been a wonderful addition to the School’s public service program.
